Ingredients for Caesar Salad

  • 1 head of romaine lettuce
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 slices of bread
  • Olive oil and garlic to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Cherry tomatoes to taste

Note: If you are using chicken fillets for your Caesar salad, you will need one fillet per person.

Caesar Salad Dressing:
1.To make the Caesar salad dressing, first finely grate the garlic and place it in a bowl.

2.Add the mayonnaise to the grated garlic and mix well until the mayonnaise is thin.

3.Add the Dijon mustard to the mayonnaise and mix.

4.Add the spices and lemon juice to the sauce. You can use less lemon juice if you prefer.

5.Add the balsamic vinegar to the sauce. You can add as much or as little balsamic vinegar as you like. Some people don’t like the taste of balsamic vinegar, so they prefer to use less. Others like more vinegar.

6.Add half of the Parmesan cheese to the sauce. The amount of cheese is also a matter of taste.

Note: You can use lemon juice instead of vinegar in Caesar salad dressing.

Instructions for Caesar Salad:

1.To make the Caesar salad, first marinate the chicken breasts in olive oil, salt, pepper, and 1 clove of grated garlic. Massage the chicken breasts to marinate them. Set aside for a while to let the flavors soak into the chicken breasts.

2.In a small bowl, combine 1 clove of garlic and olive oil. Cut the bread into medium squares and brush with the mixture.

3.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the bread squares on it. Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until golden brown. There are other ways to make croutons. You can use a microwave, toaster, or even a frying pan.

4.Fry the marinated chicken breasts over high heat in a frying pan. Make sure the heat is very high so that the chicken breasts do not become tough from losing water. Once the chicken breasts are cooked, you can cut them into strips or squares.

5.Use romaine lettuce if possible. If you are using regular lettuce, try to use more of the heart of the lettuce so that the salad is not too dark. Chop the lettuce into medium pieces and soak it to clean it. After cleaning, rinse it and let it dry.

6.Place the lettuce in the bowl you want to serve the salad in and add the croutons.

7.Add the shredded chicken and cherry tomatoes to the Caesar salad. You can mix half of the chicken breast with the lettuce and top the Caesar salad with the other half.

8.Pour the Caesar salad dressing over the salad and then add the remaining Parmesan cheese. The amount of Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar is optional.

Tips:

  • You can also use Thousand Island dressing for your masterpiece. It will add a nice flavor to your salad.
  • You can use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic.
  • Cucumber and carrot will change the color of the Caesar salad and should not be used.
  • Do not put dressing on the croutons, as this will make them soft and lose their crunch.
  • Romaine lettuce is the best lettuce for Caesar salad and should be chopped coarsely.
  • Toss the salad gently by hand. Finally, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Many people like to add balsamic vinegar separately to the salad. This is a matter of personal preference.
  • You can cook the chicken breasts like fried chicken. Alternatively, you can grill the chicken.
  • You can add other ingredients to your salad according to your taste.
